At Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat the ostensions last for several weeks —- in principle from Low Sunday to Trinity Sunday. Throughout this period the relics are exposed for the veneration of the faithful.
In 2009, following an ancient tradition, the Ostension Flag will be raised on the bell tower of the Collegiate Church in mid period of Lent. The recognition or verification of the relics (a private ceremony reserved only to members of the Confraternity of Saint Leonard and the medical corps of the town) will take place on the same day.
The Solemn Ostension, which is, in fact, the closing of the Ostensions at Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat, will take place on the 24th of May 2009.
